Fund raising

The International Women’s Club of Stockholm raised 5000 euros on 22nd of April for the Crown’s Princess Victoria’s Fund dedicated to help disabled children.

The funds were raised during an evening hosted at the Romanian embassy, who also put up a musical program and an painting exhibition by Romanian-Swedish artists.

The hottest item donated by the embassy and the Romanian Tourism office was a wine discovery trip for two in the region of Moldavia, bringing the winners both in Romania and in the Republic of Moldova. Other prizes were books in Swedish by Nobel winner or Romanian origin Herta Muller, books on Romania, wine bottles and traditional handicrafts from Romania.

The fund raising was done in connection with the coming wedding of Victoria in June and is a gift benefiting not the bride, but a cause dear to her.
