Experiences out of the box in Stockholm
Walking the streets in Sture, an area in central Stockholm, I entered Sturegalleria, the trendy shopping gallery and its narrow streets.
Box Experience, a small shop featuring nicely boxes tied with a colorful ribbon caught my eyes. I guessed it was more to the shop than selling boxes and found out I got it right. The company is selling experiences as gifts, nicely wrapped in a neat black box. They have exclusive agreements with the organizers and can offer better deals than addressing directly the seller, but their selling point is that when you buy from them a voucher, the recipient of the gift can change it to any other offer they sell. Let’s say, you offer grandma a wine tasting, but she dreams of recording a song, ride in a Ferrari, or take a lesson with a golf pro, to which she can easily change.
And indeed, if you aspire to be a musical star, you can book yourself into a studio and meet the experts who will help you to dedicate a song, write one, or record one, all with the help of professional people and material.
Besides the more usual spa, wine courses or outdoor experiences in different areas of Sweden, the company offers a tour on the roofs of Stockholm, riding, a weekend in Ice hotel, flying a plane ( with an instructor though) or free fall in tandem ( again with an instructor). Most experiences- except courses- can be organized in English.

Happiness in a Box
Once I had a similar idea for giving presents to my friends. The present in the box was not a voucher or anything of monetary value but feelings or wishes from the heart. Once I gave Happiness in a Box as a birthday present to someone I love. I found a very beautiful box from a show shop, one with sunflowers and wrapped it up nicely with a bow.
As Happiness is not seen by the naked human eye the heart has to feel and believe that there is Happiness in the box. Otherwise, it might not work.
